89-15th-blog-havasu-falls-arizona.JPGDid you know that the biggest technological advancement in travel has been the Internet? It’s true, Americans are turning to the Internet to find cheap travel deals, plan and book their trips in greater numbers than ever before. In fact, Internet users will spend $93.6 billion on online leisure and unmanaged business travel in 2007, and more than half of all U.S. travel will be booked online. The growth is really proven by the fact that in 2006 the number of hotel bookings online exceeded those made through the Global Distribution System.

89-15th-oauhu-sunset-copy.jpgThe Internet has made it easier than ever for vacationers to find the very best travel deals available. Travelers enjoy the tremendous choice and flexibility of researching and picking their exact travel destination, airline details, hotel or resort accommodations, activities and more.

Travelers are also starting to use the Internet to research short travel destinations, allowing more people to take more frequent and cheaper vacation getaways. Consumers’ trend reports show that travelers plan more short getaways centered on an event, activity or experience. Travel marketers will tie promotions to activities and dates and prompt for booking around those dates. Likely, travelers will respond to these offers that give them reasons to get out of town and experience something extra special.

With the phenomenal growth in online travel sites, people will start to develop loyalty to their favorite89-15th-blog-miami-beach-couple-copy.jpg sites. Traditionally, online travelers will search at least three to five sites for information and booking. Over time, those travelers will select their favorite sites and will return to them again and again to assess deals and eventually book travel. Since so many sites offer the same services and the same information, consumers don’t want to waste their time visiting redundant sites; they want to go where they know they will find travel deals that meet their needs and budget.

One site that is quickly becoming a favorite of travelers looking for shorter jaunts that allow them to experience a new locale, without breaking the budget is 89 Dollar Travel.com.

At 89dollartravel, they bring visitors great deals on several top destinations. They offer the ultimate in convenience! Simply select what destinations interest you, fill out a request form and they will call you with all the answers to your questions, or to help you book!

In the northeast United States, there are not a lot of theme park attractions that are fun for the entire family. Hershey Park, PA, is one of those select few exciting theme parks for the whole family.

Here are some interesting statistics and attractions within Hershey Park, which will be turning 100 years old this year!

RollercoasterHershey Park was founded in 1907 for the employees of Hersheys — those guys who make some of America’s favorite chocolate. The park was later opened to the public and now sits on 110 acres with more than 60 rides and attractions.
Everyone should check out the newest 2007 attraction in Hershey Park known as the Broadwalk, which features six new games and five water rides.
Rollercoasters at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania? Sure! There are ten of them in the park.
Storm Runner is the park’s most recent roller coaster. Erected in 2004, this roller coaster goes from 0 to 72 mph in two seconds.
Hershey’s Chocolate World, which is located within the park, has a pretty neat tour walking you through how chocolate is made. Free samples are handed out at the end too! There’s also a 3D show.
Elephants? Hershey Park has those too. Admission to the park includes a ticket to ZOOAMERICA. If you love animals, this is a definite trip you won’t want to miss.
Yes, while springtime might still be cold for full enjoyment of the water rides, there are plenty, and this summer, five new water rides will be opened, increasing the total amount of water rides within the park to ten.

FlamingoPennsylvania’s five new additions — for the park, at least — includes the Waverider surfing competition, the Coastline plunge which will contain four slides, East Coast Waterworks (another seven slides!), the Bayside Pier, a pool for relaxation, and the Sandcastle cove for the kids.
As we move into the spring season, Hershey Park has some exciting springtime events, including the performances of The Great Candy Caper and Copper Sky.
Relax afterwards. At Hershey Park, there are tons of rides for every age group, from the Comet Roller Coaster to the Dinosaur-Go-Round for the little tykes.
Kids love Hershey Park. What could be better than chocolate, water rides, roller coasters (if you’re tall enough) and animals?

Take a look at the park in its grand magnificence and consider taking the entire family to Hershey Park. It’s totally worth it!
